Dear Internet,

You've been a source of connection to the rest of the world for many years now.

Because of you, I discovered the world of YouTube.
Because of you, I learnt how to talk to my crush.
Because of you, I learnt how to get over my crush.
Because of you, I learnt how to dress like a decent human being.
Because of you, I didn't lose my mind during the pandemic.

As I've gotten older, I've started to use you for different reasons.

Because of you, I learnt how to cook quick and easy meals.
Because of you, I learnt how to file my taxes.
Because of you, I realized that when my engine light comes on I should probably go to the nearest auto shop.
Because of you, I was able to find the nearest auto shop.
Because of you, my shopping addiction has gotten worse--good for my closet, bad for my wallet.
Because of you, I'm able to connect with my friends and family around the world no matter how many miles are between us.

Because of you, I realized my love for graphic design.
Because of you, I grew closer to God.

Because of you, I was able to become the person I am today.
